I was looking for a bag that was different. Not the usual bag with all kinds of pockets that you stuff with things you’ll never use.
I also wanted to be kind of patriotic (I’m in the USA).
I saw the Grit bag and yeah, definitely unique! And there was a version that was blue, with a little red and white mixed in.
I checked the price, within my budget, and the return policy. The return policy was good to go so i got one.
First off it got here in about 5 days. Very impressive shipping time for a larger product. Then I transferred junk from one bag to the new one and other than a large balls pocket all of my junk fit and had a home. As far as ball storage the magnetic pouch at the top of the bag holds about 20 balls. If I need more balls than that in a round I don’t think I’d still be golfing. Heading down the bag there’s a valuables pouch that says it’s waterproof and I believe that. Next comes the main storage pocket in the front. PLENTY of room for range finder, spare gloves , fan to put around my neck to help cool me that doesn’t really help much and besides it’s not charged anyway. A small bag of tees and a couple extra balls that I found on a very hilly course yesterday. With that stuff in there I still have a lot of room in the front if I need it. And the shelving system in the pocket is pretty cool. The final pocket on the front is a cooler, down at the bottom of the bag, which I appreciate. No worrying about water dripping down from midway on your bag all over the place.
Here’s the beauty part of this bag and the reason I’m very happy to have purchased a Grit Tower Bag 2.0- there are no pockets on the side. There is a large pocket on the BACK of the bag that for me holds all my weather related gear. Since I live in Minnesota we’re talking rain jacket/pants, wet weather gloves, cold weather gloves, mittens, a heavier jacket, beanie, arm sleeves, balaclavas. And all of that fits in the back pocket. And here’s the really cool part, at least to me, when you put your bag on the cart that back pocket fits perfectly in that little gap below the secure bar and there is nothing bulky about it.
It looks cleaner on a cart. It looks like I have my $#!+ together so that fakes out my playing partners because I don’t in the least.
There’s not a fight at the back of the cart to get my bag on next to someone that has all their side pockets bulging.
Just a fairly priced bag with plenty of room for everything you need, sturdy and well made, that looks good and is a little unique.
Thank you Grit for the great bag.
