We just bought this bag for our 9 year old. The 33 size is perfect for him to pull in busy arenas and the small footprint is a definite improvement over the previous large bag he was using. Some of the dressing rooms are small, so this bag will allow him more floor space to get ready.
I love the shelving and the fact that it holds 2 sticks.
Some things that I'm maybe wondering about (like why they were included or not included):
-The beverage cooler is a bonus...but I doubt he'll really use it. I'm sure it's more appreciated by those who would be bringing canned beverages and are of legal drinking age.
-The stick storage is on the right side of the bag so it is more comfortable to pull with the left hand. It would make more sense for there to be stick holders on both sides of the bag so that the user can choose which hand they want to use for pulling the bag.
-The is no water bottle storage for the kind that have the long spout. A deep, vertical mesh pocket on the side or front of the bag would be amazing.
-There is space above the hemet since the skates are taller than a helmet. A collapsing shelf or mesh pocket above the helmet storage area would be a bonus for holding extra items (neck guard, mouth guard, etc).
-The speaker/media device holder is a neat idea but the speaker needs to be pretty small to fit in it. My son has a beats pill and it won't fit in without stretching the mesh too much. Adjustable straps would've been nice for this feature.
-I've heard this before from other people, but a telescopic handle would be perfect. I'm sure it has to do with the design since the bag is so flexible that a solid bar wouldn't be compatible.
-In the ID slot, having lines on the card would be a nice touch. We've bought other, much cheaper bags and they've all come with a lined card.
- A clip somewhere in the bag for a skate towel to hang.
I realize all of my suggestions are very nit picky, but hey, if they help Grit to make an even better tower, I'm all for it and will definitely buy one!
